Sacraments
Baptism
At St. Michael's Episcopal Church, we believe that baptism is the sacrament of new life in Christ. It is the first step in a journey of faith and a joyous celebration in the community of believers.
Holy Communion
Holy Communion is an important sacrament in the life of a Christian. The Episcopal Church offers communion to all people following baptism. At St. Michael's, we also offer classes for children and adults to increase understanding of the value of this sacrament and to develop the language to articulate how meaningful it is. We welcome all who wish to partake in the Eucharist.
Confirmation
Confirmation is the sacrament in which we reaffirm what was done for us in baptism and make a more mature commitment to our faith.. At St. Michael's, we offer classes for youth and adults to prepare for this sacrament.
Matrimony
At St. Michael's, we believe that marriage is a sacred bond between two people and a reflection of God's love for us. We welcome all couples who wish to be married in our church and offer guidance and support throughout the process.
Confession
Confession is the sacrament of reconciliation, in which we confess our sins and receive forgiveness. At St. Michael's, we offer private confession with a priest and communal confession during special services.
Anointing the Sick
Anointing the sick is the sacrament of healing and comfort. At St. Michael's, we offer this sacrament to those who are ill or facing surgery, and pray for their healing and recovery.
